Plymouth Pod #10

This week in Plymouth

Hi All! We crossed the 1000 subscriber mark over the weekend which feels like a fun milestone. I want to thank each of you for being a part of this community and welcome to our newest members!

The results are in from last week’s poll—folks want a discount card, so I’m making it happen! If you own or work with a business in the greater Plymouth area—whether it’s a restaurant, bar, service, shop, product, hotel, or anything in between—let’s connect! There’s no cost to join the discount card program. Just email me at [email protected] and I’ll share the details. Excited to partner with some amazing local businesses.

Alright, let’s get into it!

Founded in 1937 by Dr. Franklin Trask, Priscilla Beach Theatre was one of the pioneers of the “summer stock in a barn” concept. From the 1940s through the 1960s, the theatre was in its prime, buzzing with activity and hosting up to 150 performers each summer. One notable alum? Rob Reiner, who performed in Enter Laughing during the summer of 1965.

By the 1980s, summer stock went dark and was replaced by children’s theatre programs. But in 2013, locals Bob and Sandy Malone purchased the property and began its restoration. In 2015, summer stock theatre officially returned. If you are looking for the Summer 2025 Stock info, I’ve included the link here

Tonight in Plymouth, enjoy over 11 hours of darkness under a waning crescent moon just 18.7% illuminated—ideal for stargazing. Mars and Jupiter will be clearly visible after sunset, with Mars shining brightly until nearly 4am. Look up just after dusk to spot Uranus (binoculars recommended), while Saturn makes a brief appearance near sunrise. And mark your calendars: on March 29, early risers in Eastern Canada and the Northeastern U.S. can catch a rare “devil’s horns” solar eclipse at sunrise!

Until next week - I’ll see you out there. Don’t hesitate to reach out to say hi!
