Hi All! Before we get into it, just one quick little itsy bitsy thing…Please keep sharing this newsletter with friends and/or enemies, thanks 🙏

Seals of Approval: Meet your Coastal Neighbors

Ever spotted a chubby, dog-faced swimmer lounging like a banana on a rock? Chances are, you’ve seen a harbor seal! These marine mammals are local celebs along both U.S. coasts, known for their fishy diets, flippery shuffles, and adorable pups that can swim the day they’re born. While they once faced bounties and population dips, conservation efforts have helped many seal populations rebound. Today, they’re vital indicators of ocean health—and protectors of good vibes along the shore. But it’s not all smooth sailing: threats like marine debris, habitat loss, and illegal feeding still put them at risk. So if you’re lucky enough to spot one on Cape Cod, enjoy the view—and give them space to keep chilling.
