Night Sky
Step outside after sunset for a 9-hour stretch of stargazing under a waning gibbous Moon (72.8% full). Saturn and Neptune rise just before midnight, with Saturn offering excellent visibility through the early morning. Venus makes a bright appearance around 2:30 a.m., while Mars sets around 10:42 p.m. and Jupiter peeks over the horizon at 4:07 a.m. For those with binoculars, Uranus and Neptune are early-morning challenges. And as we approach the 56th anniversary of Apollo 11's moon landing on July 20, it’s the perfect week to gaze up!
