Trail of the Week: Cushing Memorial State Park (Scituate)
Tucked away in Scituate, Cushing Memorial State Park is a small but meaningful stop that blends woodland quiet, marsh views, and deep local history. This 4.8-acre park features two short, easy trails, perfect for a peaceful walk.
One trail winds through the woods to the burial site of William Cushing, Scituate’s “Greatest Citizen” and one of the original justices of the U.S. Supreme Court. A second path leads downhill to a bench overlooking the North River salt marsh, offering a lovely spot to sit and take in the scenery. Plan your visit here.
