Plymouth Pod #49

This week in Plymouth County.

Our final edition of 2025 has arrived. I hope you enjoy the read and have an amazing ending to 2025 and an epic start to 2026. Make sure to complete the trivia this week as I’ll be doing a Pod Card Giveaway - alright, let’s get into it!

Trail of the Week:  Lansing Bennett Forest (Duxbury, MA)

Spanning 344 acres along Phillips Brook, Lansing Bennett Forest offers 2.8 miles of intersecting woodland trails winding through pine and oak forest, red maple swamp, and scenic boardwalks. Highlights include the atmospheric ruins of Howlands Mill—one of Duxbury’s last water-powered mills—and sections of the Bay Circuit Trail. With footbridges, kettle-hole terrain, and rich wildlife (from songbirds to brook trout), it’s a rewarding walk for history lovers and nature seekers alike, with options for both short strolls and longer explorations. Plan your visit here.
