Poll Time: Pod Happy Hour, Anyone?

We’re about to hit 2,000 members of the Plymouth Pod 🥳 which feels like a very good excuse to bring the pod together IRL. Before I start plotting locations and snacks, I want to see if there’s interest…

Trail of the Week: St. Catherine’s Park (Plymouth)

St. Catherine’s Chapel Park is a peaceful 2-acre neighborhood park just up the road from White Horse Beach. The park features about 0.25 miles of crushed stone and paved walking paths, with plenty of benches, perfect for a short, relaxed stroll.

What makes this spot special is its deep local history. Interpretive signs share stories of the Wampanoag people, early European settlement, the rise of Manomet as a seaside destination, and the former St. Catherine’s Chapel, which once stood on this site. Today, the open grassy space, maple trees, and signage make it an easy place to pause, reflect, and learn a bit about Plymouth’s coastal past.

A great option for an easy walk and  history lovers. The Park is a community greenspace funded by the community so if you’d like to support the park, here is additional info

Night Sky

A slim waxing crescent moon (about 4% full) keeps skies nice and dark tonight. Sunset is at 4:42 pm, with full darkness by 5:47 pm, making it a great evening for stargazing. Jupiter will shine brightly for most of the night, while Saturn is visible shortly after sunset before dipping below the horizon around 9:30 pm. And a small but welcome reminder, we’re about a month past the winter solstice, and the days are slowly getting longer, even if it’s subtle.
