Plymouth Pod #53

This week in Plymouth County

Hi All! I hope everyone stayed safe and cozy during the snow storm. Lots of goodness packed into this week’s newsletter, and I’m excited to introduce a brand-new section: Tides & Tails. Our friends at the Scituate Animal Shelter have shared two adoptable pets to kick things off, and you’ll see new adoptable pets featured here each week. Let’s help these animals find their forever homes.

Alright, with that, let’s get into it!

Pod Happy Hour Update

You voted, and we’re making it happen — just with a little twist.

After reading your feedback and thinking through what would make it the most fun, I’m planning our first in-person event as a Plymouth Pod Dinner Club.

The idea: small groups, matched up with fellow Pod readers, sharing a great meal and good conversation. Before I lock anything in, I’d love your take 👇

Trail of the Week: Driftway Conservation Park (Scituate)

Driftway Conservation Park is a stunning 334-acre conservation area with sweeping views of the Herring River and its salt marshes. Once home to massive sand and gravel mining operations that helped build Logan Airport, the land is now a peaceful mix of flat, well-maintained walking trails, wooded paths, marsh overlooks, and waterfront access. The 1.65-mile A.J. McEachern Memorial Trail network offers paved, gravel, and sandy paths perfect for dog walking, birdwatching, or an easy stroll, with benches and scenic spots like Carol’s Perch and Lookout Hill. You’ll also find a fishing pier, kayak and paddleboard launch, picnic areas, and connections to the Driftway Multi-Purpose Path. Keep an eye out for egrets, sandpipers, kingfishers, and even bald eagles. A beautiful, versatile spot for land or water adventures year-round. Plan your visit here
