It's giving June
I hope everyone had an amazing Memorial Day Weekend despite the weather. The highlight of my long weekend was when the sun finally made an appearance in the late afternoon yesterday with just enough time to enjoy for a few hours…better late than never.
Also, quick plug for the June Dinner Club on Thursday, June 25th. You can reserve your seat here.
Let’s get into it!

Tides & Tails
Pets: Puppies
Night Sky: Summer is basically knocking on the door...nights are down to just 9 hours and 7 minutes with sunset pushing past 8 PM and sunrise arriving before 5:15 AM. The Moon is a bright Waxing Gibbous at 75.1%, so the sky has a nice glow to it this week. Venus is your go-to after dark, shining bright in the western sky until nearly 11 PM and impossible to miss. Jupiter is also putting in a solid showing, visible after sunset until around 11:30 PM. Mercury is sneaking into view just after sunset too, if you catch the western horizon early enough. Night owls and early risers can look for Saturn in the pre-dawn sky before 3 AM.

Ring in the 250th Anniversary with July 3rd T-Shirts
As a reminder, the T-shirts are available for pre-order! I’m offering the shirts in adults, kids, and baby sizes so the whole fam can ring in the 250th anniversary in style. You can pre-order using this link.
As a reminder, the t-shirts will ship in mid-late June so you’ll get them in plenty of time for the 3rd. Pre-orders are closing next week on June 2nd!

A Farewell to Gillis Family Tavern at The Grist Mill in Plymouth
If you haven't made it out to Gillis Family Tavern yet, now's your chance, they're closing their current location on May 31st before heading to their new home on Main Street (timing TBD). The tavern sits at the Plimoth Grist Mill, one of the more unique spots in downtown Plymouth. It's a working reproduction of the original 1636 grain mill built right on Town Brook, complete with a 14-foot waterwheel, 200-year-old millstones still grinding corn, and a rich connection to Plymouth's earliest history. Stop in on a Saturday afternoon and you might catch the miller in action, turning out fresh cornmeal and grits on the spot. Go show Gillis some love before the 31st!
