Night Sky: The big one is almost here. On Wednesday, August 12, the Moon's shadow sweeps across the Earth for a total solar eclipse, the first totality anywhere on the planet in 28 months. Around a billion people will fall under the Moon's shadow that day. We won't get totality here in Plymouth, but a partial eclipse is still a sight worth stepping outside for (with proper eclipse glasses, of course).
